I use the HAMMOND XM-1/XM1-c  modules as the main voicing because of the multi-variation of the drawbars.  The Flutes are superb - as is with Hammond.  These are connected thru' MIDI on the TECHNICS GN5 console and the Hammond is played from the Technics keyboard.  In fact the keyboard is serving TWO instruments which, together, give the player an incredible range of effects (playing two organs 'in-tandem' as it were).   I love this combination.

      A TINY set-up with a BIG sound !

The pure drawbar voicing of Hammond together with the sampled orchestral sounds and rhythm of the Technics is great for me.  I use NO external speakers or cabinets to record.  The Hammond module has an electronic 'Leslie' system which, in my opinion, is second to none and equals the sound of external rotating speakers in all modes.   Who'd have thought it, in years past, when we were transporting those great 145/7 leslie cabinets around - that the same effect would eventually be achieved from a small electronic module.  And, one can programme the speeds and effects exactly to your own requirements.  That's the Japanese for you !.

For my Cds, I used no Studio multitrack recording, only the floppy disc on the GN5 which gives the effect of a 'double-track' facility - plus the organ's sequencer.    I prefer the Bass pedal sound of the Technics - so this is used most of the time.
